Deadly crash on Hardy Toll Road near East Richey Road, Harris County Pct. 4 says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A deadly crash on the Hardy Toll Road at East Richey Road caused major traffic delays on Monday evening, authorities said.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, deputies are investigating the deadly crash. Officials have not said what led to the crash or how many people were involved.

Houston TranStar reported that the crash happened at about 6 p.m. and involved one vehicle.

Initially, Pct. 4 reported that all of the northbound lanes were closed. By 6:40 p.m., Houston TranStar reported that only the right shoulder of Hardy Toll Road was closed.

Authorities told motorists to avoid the area as the investigation continues. Officials advised drivers to seek alternate routes and to expect delays.
